Summary

The journey to 100 friends begins with a single conversation。

Socially anxious high school student Shoko Komi’s greatest dream is to make some friends, but everyone at school mistakes her crippling social anxiety for cool reserve! Luckily she meets Tadano, a timid wallflower who decides to step out of his comfort zone in order to help her achieve her goal of making 100 friends。

Exam season has crash-landed on the students of Itan High, and in between getting kicked out of the library for exceeding the legal decibel levels, Komi and the gang are dreaming of the coming summer break。 And with more friends now than ever, Komi’s modest vacation to-do list soon becomes a recipe for delightful summer shenanigans!

Its really interesting the main story。 Glad to be able to ingest this concept。 And see that it doesn't have to be sex violents and all the other stuff to keep ones attention。 I really liked this and am going back to start at the beginning and read the whole series。 Its really interesting the main story。 Glad to be able to ingest this concept。 And see that it doesn't have to be sex violents and all the other stuff to keep ones attention。 I really liked this and am going back to start at the beginning and read the whole series。 。。。more

Komi is communicating a bit easier with her classmates and friends these day。 This book is another volume in the series and continues to deepen the friendships Komi has but not very deeply。 Overall, ok。

I liked the story and the characters。 I feel, though, that it was unnecessarily sexualizing some of the characters in the art at times which made me uncomfortable。

School’s! Out! For! Oh, you know。 After some library games and exams, everybody is gearing up for summer。 The beach beckons and the word boyfriend is uttered, then Komi’s got a houseguest of pint-sized proportions。 And no, not much communication, in case you were worried。It can’t be coincidence that this is a super strong volume of this series and Yanai is absent except for literally two panels。 It also doesn’t hurt that there’s a lot of Rumiko Manbagi here and I might like her more than the lea School’s! This is an adorable series about an adorable girl (and her awesome friends)。Komi is such a gorgeous girl。 Tall, lithe, graceful, long beautiful hair, and legs that go "all the way up"。 She may have communication issues, but she also has interesting friends & lots of fun adventures。 I think that the love slowly blossoming between Komi and Tadano is so cute。 And Najimi, always bringing a party everywhere she goes。 I want to take a moment to talk about Najimi。 Ok, it's been lightly implied that she This is an adorable series about an adorable girl (and her awesome friends)。Komi is such a gorgeous girl。 Tall, lithe, graceful, long beautiful hair, and legs that go "all the way up"。 She may have communication issues, but she also has interesting friends & lots of fun adventures。 I think that the love slowly blossoming between Komi and Tadano is so cute。 And Najimi, always bringing a party everywhere she goes。 I want to take a moment to talk about Najimi。 Ok, it's been lightly implied that she's trans。 This Mangaka doesn't make a big deal about it, doesn't shove it down anyone's throats, doesn't make it a selling point, doesn't parade it around, or impose it on anyone。 Najimi is just kinda there, with all her buddies。 And they all love her, and no one makes a big deal about her being trans。 This is how to do LGBTQ+ characters THE RIGHT WAY。 Don't make them "special" or "different" or "a loner" or "shunned"。 Just make them a normal part of the group。 Just because Najimi is trans doesn't mean she's any of the above (or isn't)。 She's just a beloved part of the gang。 Ok, back to Komi and the rest of the bunch。 I will say Rumiko looks amazing showing off the various swimsuits。 Now that she no longer wears all that garish makeup and whatnot, we can see that she's actually a very pretty girl。 And after the beach outing, with Tadano stepping in to save Rumiko from overly-agressive boys, we later get a hint that maybe, just maybe, Komi is going to have some competition for Tadano's affections! I can't wait for the next volume! 。。。more

While I enjoyed some aspects of this volume, overall it was kind of meh。 I didn't care for Rei's chapters and the opening chapter was kind of boring, too。 Something I noticed while reading this volume was that the series tends to bounce between "just okay" or "really awesome" and it's kind of frustrating。 I understand that expecting a long running slice-of-life rom-com to be consistently perfect is unfair and I'm aware my feelings are subjective, but it's frustrating to read a really good volume While I enjoyed some aspects of this volume, overall it was kind of meh。 I didn't care for Rei's chapters and the opening chapter was kind of boring, too。 Something I noticed while reading this volume was that the series tends to bounce between "just okay" or "really awesome" and it's kind of frustrating。 I understand that expecting a long running slice-of-life rom-com to be consistently perfect is unfair and I'm aware my feelings are subjective, but it's frustrating to read a really good volume than read a mediocre one back to back。The biggest problem with the more mediocre volumes is that I feel like there's no reread-ability to them; since this is a slice-of-life series with a relatively simple plot, rereading a volume I didn't like seems pointless。 I'd rather just flip through and reread specific chapters than the whole volume, which feels like I wasted money buying it only to reread maybe two chapters。 Maybe this is just me, I don't know, but the inconsistent quality (at least to me) really bothers me。Sorry for the rant。 Like I said, this was an okay volume。 I'm not sure if how much longer I'll continue with this series, but I'm at least going to read the next volume。 。。。more

Cute, funny, heartwarming。。。 and also barely anything happens! Felt like one giant bottle episode。。。。 Too much side character creep happening, (fingers crossed to ward it off in the next volume。)

I continue to love and adore how this series is playing out! We are revisiting some of the previous gags in this volume, and I am totally ok with it! I had a great time reading it!For more of my detailed thoughts, check out this video! https://www。youtube。com/watch?v=u5Zcs。。。 I continue to love and adore how this series is playing out! I continue to read these because the sweetness of the characters keeps me coming back for more。 It is simple, endearing, and uplifting。 There are probably better books that achieve the same emotions in story telling, but these are nice too。
